and it grows | CFC, halons, HCFC, HFC, HCFC22, HFC23, carbon dioxide, SFR… these are some of ozone’s layer enemies. The ozone’s wound was discovered in 1985 and although there were protocols trying to protect it… it is still growing. It costs a lot of money to find other ways to make air conditioners and fridges work and of course we have to set up priorities. What’s more important? To make more money or to try and save the planet for the next generations? The ozone layer act as a shield against the direct sunlight. I believe this planet’s wound is an emergency and when big companies don’t care about it – that could be effective – we should start protecting it by carefully choosing the products and equipment we use at home. It’s just a suggestion. xxx
