“cod extinction” | Continuing ecologically… today’s piece is referring to the illogical fishing that causes the extinction of different kinds of fish. We are fishing to eat, using nature resources and that’s normal, healthy and keeps the food chain in balance. Industry is forcing fishermen to bring more and more fish even if this has to be thrown back into the sea because it’s not “beautiful” or at the right size to seduce the customer. Fish of whichever size are caught, without having the opportunity to grow and reproduce this breaks the food chain. Even cod is in the process of extinction! It would be clever to be more thoughtful on these matters…
